Senior Data Engineers in Atlanta, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
+ Serveas the primary point of contact for administrating and supporting Delta’s SASGrid and SAS Viya environments.
+ Operateas technical lead for operational maintenance, enhancement, installation, andsupport of SAS environment servers.
+ Oversee,recommend, and implement appropriate solutions and enhancements to ensureplatform reliability for users across our environments within defined SLAs.
+ MonitorSAS Management Console to assist in performance tuning of the systems andservers and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure peak operationalperformance.
+ Manageand track SAS products inventory and license updates for SAS servers and endusers.
+ Ownand drive patching activities to support OS, Security upgrades, andvulnerabilities.
+ Workwith Business Users and Developers to enable access to our BI Tools and DataPlatforms and provide support to troubleshoot user challenges.
+ Telecommutingpermitted 2-3 days per week.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and 5 years
of experience in software engineering. In the alternative, will accept a
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and
3 years of experience in software engineering.
Must have work experience in:
+ Managing SASservers, configuring resources, monitoring performance, and ensuring optimalsystem functionality;
+ Gridcomputing concepts, including distributed processing, load balancing, and highavailability;
+ Systemarchitecture principles to design, implement, and maintain SAS Gridenvironments effectively;
+ Diagnosingand resolving issues in SAS Grid environments, performing regular maintenancetasks, and ensuring system stability;
+ Optimizingsystem performance, tuning SAS applications, and managing workloads efficientlyto enhance overall productivity;
+ Implementingsecurity measures, managing user access, and ensuring data protection withinthe SAS Grid environment; and
+ Scriptinglanguages including Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting to automate routinetasks, streamline processes, and improve system efficiency.
