Kratos Microwave, Inc., a Kratos' company, is looking for a RF Design Engineer, level 1, to work onsite at their San Jose location.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:Design, develop, and prototype radio frequency (RF) and microwave/mm-wave electronic circuits and products at frequencies from 500 MHz to 40 GHz. Plan, document, and oversee the build, bring-up, and troubleshooting of RF and microwave/mm-wave products for communications, RADAR, Electronic Warfare (EW), and other applications in the Aerospace & Defense market. The products you design are intended to operate in harsh environments for high reliability applications in the aerospace & defense market including land-based, ship-board, airborne, and space platforms. This position requires the ability to obtain security clearance, if needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:This position do not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:• Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties.• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.• Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and maintain respect for others, and following company policies.• Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job.• Ability to obtain Security Clearance, if needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required. No previous professional experience is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• The work environment will be split roughly 50/50 between a cubicle office environment with computer aided design work and a cleanroom lab environment working on electronics hardware on the bench inside the cleanroom.• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).• Ability to lift up to 10lbs.
