Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. Based in Utica, New York, this role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. You will play a key role in managing vendor relationships, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring all invoices are accurately reviewed and documented.

• Create and input purchase orders while maintaining proper records for streamlined operations.

• Enter vendor invoices into the system with precise coding and secure necessary approvals.

• Prepare and process multi-currency electronic payment runs in a timely manner.

• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to confirm all transactions are accounted for and properly recorded.

• Manage the creation and maintenance of vendor records, ensuring data integrity.

• Respond promptly to inquiries from internal teams and vendors, providing accurate information and support.

• Review employee expense reports for proper coding of expenses and compliance with tax and company policies.

• Assist with month-end close activities, including credit card reconciliations and sales tax reporting.

• Record customer payments by logging checks received and processing bank deposits. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and payment runs.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation and data entry, with high attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with multi-currency payment processing and vendor management.

• Ability to code invoices accurately and ensure compliance with policies.

• Experience with credit card reconciliation and sales tax reporting is preferred.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
