Description

We are partnering with an entertainment organization to find an experienced corporate Paralegal to join their team. This is an on-site contract role based in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the general counsel on a variety of legal projects and needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research focused on bankruptcy cases, copyright issues, contract enforceability, and corporate diligence.

• Maintain internal databases and records with accurate summaries of case updates, contract status updates and tracking, and research findings

• Prepare and present reports, summaries, and other work product in a clear and organized format with relevant and necessary details

• Ensure contracts and other work product meets organizational needs and situational context

• Review and redlining of contracts, as well as underlying research and support to assist with contract negotiation

• Manage contracts through entire lifecycle, from initiation through execution

• Provide recommendations conducive to finalizing contracts or resolving project issues

• Improve, develop, and maintain contract templates and processes

• Independently monitor deadlines and manage and regulate workflow

Requirements

• 5+ years of corporate paralegal experience

• Paralegal Certificate

• Contracts experience - drafting, redlining, reviewing

• Legal research
