Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Excelsior, Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations, including revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and financial planning, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily sales reporting across both physical and online platforms, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Reconcile cash, credit card, and gift card transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage sales tax compliance across multiple regions, adhering to jurisdictional regulations.

• Analyze sales trends, including seasonal patterns and customer behavior, to support strategic planning.

• Collaborate with location managers to track inventory costs and optimize profit margins.

• Develop financial models to forecast sales, cash flow, and inventory requirements.

• Assist in creating pricing strategies that balance profitability with market competitiveness.

• Monitor high-risk transactions and implement measures to prevent fraud and minimize losses.

• Support operational teams in reducing inventory shrinkage and improving efficiency.

• Evaluate and recommend upgrades to financial systems to enhance data security and operational effectiveness. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a preference for leadership or supervisory roles.

• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, financial reporting, and compliance standards.

• Proficiency in accounting software, with QuickBooks experience preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
