Position Summary

As a Senior Java Software Engineer with CVS Health Platform Innovation, you will participate on a Scrum Product Team of 6-10 people and work with the team to build high-quality, usable products to customers and stakeholders. You will help educate both business and technology personnel on the agile and XP development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. You will also maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice.

A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in the role. The CVS health platform innovation rebates scrum teams are a mix of a Product Managers and UX designers, as well as highly skilled Java Engineers.

We prefer candidates local to offices like Buffalo Grove IL, Scottsdale AZ, Richardson TX, but we may consider remote as well for the right person.

Required Qualifications

+ 5+ years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment, preferably in full stack development environment with strong leadership experience in Front end and backend technologies.

+ 2+ years of Java development experience while utilizing one or more these technologies: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, NodeJS, Angular 8+, React, or similar

+ 1+ year of experience working in an Agile-based development environment using Agile concepts such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Strong SQL coding in large databases (75+tb)

+ Cloud development experience

+ PaaS, SaaS development experience

+ Frontend and/or full stack development experience utilizing a framework such as Angular or React

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
