• **About the Job**
The Red Hat Ansible Product Marketing team is looking for a Senior Manager of Product Marketing to join us in Raleigh, NC. This position reports into the Director of Product Marketing for Red Hat Ansible. In this role, you will be leading a group within the Red Hat Ansible Product Marketing team. This team is responsible for developing and carrying out the messaging, positioning and go-to-market strategy for Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
You will work cross-functionally and globally with numerous teams, including Product Management, Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, Digital Experience, Brand Experience, Field Marketing, Partner Marketing, Engineering, Sales and Services. You will conduct research, craft market strategies, and develop content to support demand generation and enable field sales and Red Hat channel partners. We'll need you to be able to understand customer needs and develop compelling messaging, as you will spend time in front of customers and partners. This role comes with management responsibilities. As a player-coach inside the product marketing team, you will contribute to the overall success by leading and mentoring as well as delivering on projects.
What You Will Do
+ Collaborate with product management teams to ensure marketing plans align with the product roadmap and releases
+ Create concise and compelling core product messaging that embodies key product attributes, including value proposition, positioning, and differentiation
+ Ensure the creation of effective marketing assets and content, including whitepapers, presentations, case studies, solution briefs, web content, data sheets, and sales kits that can be used globally
+ Develop marketing collateral and sales tools that will be used by Red Hat's Sales team and partners.
+ Develop and deliver enablement and training activities for Sales, Pre-sales, and Professional Services teams and partners
+ Collaborate with other product teams to create multi-product/solution marketing materials that address customer use cases and pain points
+ Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning
What You Will Bring
+ 3+ years of people management experience, ideally leading and managing geographically dispersed team members working in multiple offices and remotely
+ 5+ years of Product Marketing experience.
+ 5+ years of software industry experience, preferably within an area of infrastructure software, e.g. operating systems (Linux preferred), virtualization, cloud, or systems management
+ Domain knowledge and experience with open source projects is a plus
+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering, computer science or related area, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred; Completion of Pragmatic Marketing training a plus
+ Track record of success in a fast-paced technical environment
+ Ability to develop proof points around turning messaging and positioning into high-value assets
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
+ Ability and experience working in an inspirational, influence-driven, cross-functional environment
+ Ability to be meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks at once in a highly complex environment
+ Experience with the following technologies and use cases is a plus: Ansible, IT Automation, Configuration Management, Provisioning, IT Operations, Networking, Cloud technologies, Containers, Kubernetes, VMware, etc.. Public cloud offerings like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, and Event driven architectures, AI/ML, Edge computing
+ Willingness to travel 10-25%
The salary range for this position is $154,150.00 - $254,350.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
