San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS), a San Antonio, Texas based privately held company, has been in business for over 40 years and has developed a reputation as a premier American manufacturer of high quality comfort footwear.

Position:

SAS has an opening for a Material Planner to assist the production team.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Assist in analyzing: inventory, forecasts, sales trends and discontinued items to determine root causes, actionable and responses needed.

+ Responsible for report generation and systematic jobs in D365.

+ Support schedulers as needed.

+ Ability to maintain reporting and database impute recommend improvements in processes and analytics.

+ Compile data from multiple sources and create new reporting.

+ Document procedures and create SOP’s.

+ Interact with other internal departments in a meeting setting.

+ Tracking of finished goods in process and in transit.

+ Assists with quarterly inventories.

+ Develop supply chain KPI’s for all supply planning / purchasing activities.

+ Trouble shooting supply/ demand issues in the MRP

Required:

+ In depth understanding of MRP logic and systems.

+ Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

+ Excellent verbal skills with the ability to explain your work accurately.

+ Excellent written communication skills with ability to present your research.

+ Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with management to exchange information influence and persuade.

+ Proficient skills required in solid problem solving, analytics, planning, organization, time management, and analysis.

+ Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

+ The ability to work independently and within cross-functional team(s) in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

+ The ability to maintain confidential information and ability to work with deadlines.

+ Be a flexible, strategic team player with infallible integrity and ethical standards.

+ Be someone who strives for high performance and uses technical skills effectively with a demonstrated emphasis to detail and accuracy.

+ Possess the ability to multi-task and work in an organized, detailed manner under limited period and tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

+ Physical labor is often necessary for 8 hours or more per day with breaks approximately every two hours including sitting, standing and walking.

+ Ability to input data (typing) into a computer for long periods.

Education & Experience Requirements:

+ Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, etc.)

+ Experience with AX/ERP systems.

+ Six Sigma / lean exposure preferred.

+ 5 years’ experience in a supply chain role.
