    Job Summary:

    Hiring 2 Psychiatric NP and/or PA candidates for community psychiatry fellowship positions, 5 days a week.

     

    Candidates will work in an outpatient clinic providing psychotherapy and medication management to vulnerable patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Fellows will provide outreach and psychiatric consultations for community homeless shelters. Candidates will learn abstinence based and harm reduction approaches to treating substance-use disorders. Close supervision and didactic material will be provided by Upstate Faculty.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    NYS licensed/registered Psychiatric NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have Masters Degree, NPI number, DEA certification, and medical malpractice insurance. Must be Medicare enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC),(Eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA) Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire.

     

    Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

    L4: $75,303 - $120,627

    Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
