    Job Title: Air Suspension Product Design Engineer

    Job Description

    This role is responsible for the design, redesign, and development of air and coil spring suspension products. The Mechanical Design Engineer will drive the design of suspension components and systems, performing 3D layout, CAE analysis, and dynamic suspension modeling to produce technical specifications and working prototypes. The position supports the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and drives the design of individual product development for new mechanical design and suspension products.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and redesign air and coil spring suspension products.

    + Drive the design of suspension components and systems.

    + Perform 3D layout, CAE analysis, and dynamic suspension modeling.

    + Apply GD&T techniques to 2D drawings.

    + Conduct structural analysis and calculation of new components.

    + Collect and manage component and vehicle performance data.

    + Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.

    + Drive individual product development for new mechanical design and suspension products.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    + Five years of engineering experience, with three years in suspension system development.

    + Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.

    + Experience in design and manufacturing of precision machined mechanical parts and assemblies.

    + Ability to utilize metallic, plastic, and/or elastomeric components under pressure.

    + Implementation of GD&T techniques.

    + Experience with FEA and other CAE software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + APQP (DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA, Control Plans) implementation.

    + Knowledge of DMAIC, DOE, and QFD (House of Quality) techniques.

    + Preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working in an office setting with occasional site visits for data collection and analysis. The work environment includes the utilization of advanced CAD and CAE software tools such as SolidWorks and various FEA programs. Dress code is business casual.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $62.50/hr.
