Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the ????Warhawk Community Center at Offutt AFB. Responsibilities Plans and executes of a variety of formal and informal functions throughout multi-purpose facilities to include but not limited to morale events, ceremonies, and private/official functions. Fields phone calls, emails, and performs in person interactions and/or tours regarding facility usage. Responsible for recording, coordinating, scheduling, and managing facility calendars for reservations. Inputs and reviews the schedule of events. Ensures events are carried out as scheduled. Responsible for charging appropriate facility rental/usage fees and completes all related monetary transaction paperwork, deposits, and reports. Accountable for greeting facility users, providing customer service, instruction and guidance to customers for functions taking place within multi-purpose facilities. Responsible for conducting facility room check in/out procedures for all scheduled events and temporary issue of facility keys as needed. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility and follow established rules, regulations, and established procedures. Inspects and secures the facility at the end of shift and completes any facility work tickets, fire extinguisher checks, AED, or other safety documents needed. Assures the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. Prepares and submits work order requests as required. Responsible for protection of assets and financial resources, safeguards AFP and NAF equipment from damage, ensures accountability, and reports any issues that arise. Reports and assists in facility repairs and maintenance requirements. Collects utilization information on facility functions and makes recommendations based on customer needs. Plans, coordinates, and executes Community Center events to include providing event logistics. Assists with the development of marketing strategies, event publicity, promotions, customer engagement strategies, and submits marketing requests. Collects fees for Community Center programmed functions and activities as needed. Responsible for set up, decoration, and tear down for events to reflect program themes and/or holidays. Monitors expenses to stay within budget and submits required financial documents and after-action reports. Assists with formulating, justifying, and executing both the appropriated funds (APF) and non-appropriated funds (NAF) budget for all aspects of operations and internal controls. Procures and/or initiates procurement documents for supplies and equipment. Will support Community Center, CPPO, or squadron morale events as needed. May require coordination of food vendors, food handling, drink/alcohol service, and other food and beverage duties as assigned. Ability to work independently with general guidance. May be required to complete minor housekeeping duties. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships. Performs other duties as assigned. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and/or in writing with customers. Must have ability to work with customers of all leadership levels to include civilians, enlisted, and officers. Possess skill in dealing with the senior leadership and customers service issues. Must have experience which provides knowledge of hospitality, recreational facilities, rental facility, and military operations. Possess knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations. Undergraduate and graduate education majoring in general recreation or one of the appropriated fields such as hospitality, event planning, or outdoor recreation will be considered. Education may be a substituted for experience and vice versa. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites software. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Work may require physical exertions and must be able to lift, bend, walk or stand for long periods of time. Repeated lifting or moving of equipment will be required. Must be able to climb ladder up to 10' high and lift items up to 50 pounds. Conditions of employment: Incumbent must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-1 (NACI) background investigation. The ability to obtain and maintain a valid state drivers' license is required due to the operation of a government vehicle for official travel away from duty station in accomplishing duties. This position is designated as drug testing position (TDP) due to the driving requirement IAW AFI 90-508. Incumbent must be able to work other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
