Lead CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead/Supervisor CNC Setup Machinist for our machine shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This is a day shift position (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) with opportunities for overtime. The ideal candidate will have experience with Brother 5-axis machines, as you will be primarily working on a brand-new machine that has just been installed. Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with the potential for higher pay if you are a great fit.

Responsibilities

+ Setup and run Brother 5-axis CNC machines.

+ Supervise and lead a team of machinists.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

+ Perform inspections to ensure tight tolerances are met.

+ Conduct offsets and changeovers as needed.

+ Maintain and ensure the smooth operation of CNC machines.

Essential Skills

+ Previous experience in a machine shop environment.

+ Setup and operating experience with CNC machines.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Excellent communication skills in English.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.

+ Capability to work with very tight tolerances.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Brother CNC machines and 5-axis machines.

+ Aerospace industry experience is a huge plus.

+ Experience in programming CNC machines.

Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) in a 50K sq/ft machine shop. Our facility houses over 50 CNC machines and manufactures parts for various industries, including aerospace, medical equipment, and more. Please note that some parts manufactured are used for military purposes, and candidates should be comfortable with this aspect of the job.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
