Description
PCSI is looking for an Engineering Technician II (Safety Technician) at FT. SILL, OK. An Engineering Technician II (Safety Technician) Provides coordination and support for accidents and incidents that involve all site employees or property. Development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the safety programs. This position will report to the Health Safety Environment Manager and based at FT. Sill, OK. Typical work hours will be 0730-1600 Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do as Engineering Technician II (Safety Technician):
+ Provides coordination and support for accidents and incidents that involve all site employees or property.
+ Development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the safety programs.
+ Coordinates the safety program with additional special assignments including issues in the prevention, reduction or elimination of risk of injury or loss of life, and property damage.
+ Conduct site safety inspections for all contract employees to ensure all personnel are in compliance with OSHA regulations.
+ Assists with the development, updating, and distribution of safety policies.
+ Coordinates the development of an emergency resource program and teams.
+ Assists with developing and maintaining employee safety training programs and conducts training.
+ Assists in organizing and coordinating recovery actions from a disaster or emergency and serves as a liaison with company and government agencies.
+ Provides employee alert and warning device procedures, maintenance, and activation.
+ Inspects and maintains assigned issued safety equipment.
+ Coordinates with Fort Sill Weather, Fire and safety preparedness issues.
+ Supports the development and maintenance of an employee safety committee.
+ Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
+ Requires working knowledge of and operation of windows applications, to include MS Office.
+ Two years related experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties.
+ Experience in a maintenance environment is strongly preferred.
+ EM 385-1-1- and 30-hour OSHA General Industry training a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ This is primarily a sedentary position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 20 pounds or less.
+ Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.
+ Must have the hand/eye coordination necessary to operate office business machines (calculator, phone, fax, copier, etc.) and a personal computer.
+ Hearing and speech sufficient to verbally communicate in person and on the telephone.
+ Mobility to frequently alternate between sitting, standing, and moving about the facilities.
+ Knowledge of SDS and hazard communications program.
+ Ability to work as a team member.
+ Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and supervision.
+ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
+ Must possess the ability to develop a positive working relationship with customers and employees.
+ Must possess analytical skills with the ability to read, interpret, and develop statistical reports and calculations.
+ Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
+ Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Other Requirements:
+ Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
+ Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
+ Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
