POSITION TITLE: IT HELP DESK TECHNICIAN
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree in Applied Science or equivalent job experience
Experience with Microsoft Windows, MAC, Chrome, and iOS Operating Systems
Basic Microsoft Windows Active Directory user management
Experience with Chromebook setup and hardware repair required
Google Certified Educator Level 1 and 2
Two (2) years of experience with personal computers (PC) and mobile device repair
Must have excellent customer service skills
REPORTS TO: IT Support and Operations Manager
JOB GOAL: The Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing computer and mobile device repair services, performing basic network administration tasks, and ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues. This role includes providing remote support and technical assistance for all users, including Central Office staff. The technician will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while upholding IT security procedures and maintaining system reliability and productivity.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Evaluate personal computer and mobile device software and hardware issues. Run diagnostic programs to decide if the problem is software and/or hardware-related.
+ Provide technical support for Central Office staff and remote support for all other sites.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and configure local and network printers.
+ Set up and configure new computer systems and mobile devices for end users.
+ Perform general network-related support and troubleshooting for end users.
+ Troubleshoot and repair software issues, including operating systems and third party software.
+ Have knowledge and ability to use imaging software.
+ Responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment.
+ Provide own transportation for service calls. (Standard mileage reimbursement for personal car usage will apply according to PCSSD’s Business Procedure Manual.)
+ Provide preventative maintenance for all computers and mobile devices.
+ Assist Instructional Technology as needed or required
+ Maintain certification/qualification requirements for Self-Maintainer Programs and order warranty parts.
+ Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range:Range 16 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($19.00/hr. - $33.52/hr. depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract: 244 contract days
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Personnel Status: Classified
