Clearance:Active DoD Secret Clearance
Work Schedule:Onsite, Full-Time
Role Overview:
As a SATCOM helpdesk technician, you will provide technical support to customers with satellite communications issues. You will troubleshoot issues, install and configure equipment, and provide training to users. You will also work with other technicians to resolve complex problems.
General Skillset
+ Experience with Microsoft Office
+ Verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
+ Critical Thinking Skills
+ Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed
Specific Skillset
+ Respond to trouble calls received via phone, e-mail, and computer trouble ticketing system.
+ Respond to walk-in customer questions.
+ Document trouble calls and resolutions for reporting purposes
+ Provide resolutions to trouble calls in a timely manner.
+ Communicate with end users and maintainers to capture, document, and convey details of reported problems and needs for help to formulate a solution and in turn guide the user/maintainer through the resolution.
+ Apply troubleshooting techniques to formulate solutions to problems not resolvable by users or maintainers in the field, including the ability to interpret system drawings and interface documents to identify problems not isolated by SMART-T Built In Test (BIT) or system alert messages.
+ Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for supported systems and will facilitate escalation to Tier 3 as needed
+ Support and review applicable system documentation, including but not limited to Technical Manuals and Test Procedures.
+ Provide technical support to integrate the Helpdesk Lab equipment and SMART T systems
+ Operate and maintain assigned systems
Requirements
Education & Certifications
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience Requirements
+ 2-3 Years of SATCOM experience
+ 1+ Years of experience in helpdesk is preferred
+ Customer service experience
