CTG is seeking to fill a Database Administrator for our client in Austin, TX
**Location:** Austin, TX (Hybrid remote, Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Fri) required to be onsite at the location listed above.
**Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50 mile radius** ).
**Duration:** 2 months
Duties:
+ Enter codes to create and manage production databases
+ Utilize utility programs to monitor database performance and resource usage
+ Direct programmers and analysts in making changes to the database management system
+ Review, debug, and correct programs as necessary
+ Provide support for user inquiries and collaborate with coworkers to assess the impact and cost of proposed database changes
+ Conduct performance tuning to enhance processing performance
+ Assist in planning, development, and maintenance of integrated database systems
+ Ensure new applications align with established database structure and design parameters
+ Evaluate user requests for new data elements/systems and integrate them into shared data environments
+ Manage data integrity, minimize redundancy, and perform database loading and reorganization
+ Conduct data modeling, logical and physical database design, and prototype development
+ Implement database search strategies and security recovery procedures
+ Maintain and set standards for data dictionaries and ensure database security compliance
+ Monitor and optimize database performance and support test environments
+ Execute backup and recovery processes
+ Support agency disaster recovery protocols
+ Assist with software installations, benchmarking, and selecting database management tools
+ Ensure EIR Accessibility compliance for user interfaces related to database operations
+ Provide user support for accessibility-related data issues
+ Participate in development, maintenance, and documentation of data warehouse and reporting systems
+ Work under supervision of the Regulatory LTC Application Manager and collaborate with development teams and end-users
Skills:
+ Database performance monitoring and tuning
+ Logical and physical data modeling (ERDs)
+ Oracle Cloud RDBMS, Salesforce CRM
+ Tableau, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Informatica
+ PL/SQL programming: stored procedures, triggers, packages
+ ETL processes, data mapping, and transformation
+ Familiarity with accessibility standards (EIR Accessibility)
+ Scripting and automation (PERL scripts is a plus)
Experience:
+ 7+ years evaluating data requests and integrating into shared environments
+ 7+ years using Data Modeling tools (Tableau, ADF, Informatica)
+ 7+ years developing and implementing data models in Oracle and Salesforce
+ 7+ years writing mapping instructions for ETL development
+ 5+ years working with cross-functional teams and managing goals with creativity and independence
+ 4+ years strong communication and stakeholder reporting
+ 2+ years ETL experience across varied data sources
+ 2+ years with Tableau dashboard development
+ 2+ years understanding PERL scripting
Preferred Certifications:
+ Azure Data Factory (ADF), Informatica
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
