Paws Up Montana is seeking to add a Fleet Mechanic to our team. The Fleet Mechanic performs maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on ranch and resort vehicles and off-road equipment in a safe, efficient, quality minded manner.

We are seeking a talented Fleet Mechanic to join our team.

This position starts at $19 an hour and goes up from there depending on experience.

The Primary Functions are:

+ Perform repair work on vehicles and equipment such as breakdowns and malfunctions in a safe, efficient, quality manner.

+ Perform operation test prior to repairs to verify complaint.

+ Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturers specifications including engines, transmissions and clutches, suspension and steering, fuel and ignition (gas and diesel), electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC systems.

+ Follow paper-flow procedures including documenting correct mileage/hours, save and tag all warranty and core parts, document all repairs on work order using complaint, cause, and correction format, follow parts ordering/billing procedures.

+ Keep current and accurate service records on all vehicles and equipment.

+ Perform final operational test on all vehicles to quality-check all repairs.

+ Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize the safety, productivity, and life of the unit.

+ Maintain a clean shop area.

+ Maintain shop equipment and supply stock; Track shop tools and replace when lost or broken.

+ Move equipment safely in and out of service building.

+ Assist with resort road maintenance.

+ Communicate and maintain timelines and priorities.

+ Complete all Fleet Maintenance projects as assigned

+ Comfortability working with our entire fleet. This includes a variety of Ford Vans, explorers, excursions, Chevrolet trucks, Lexus (basic service), Dodge ProMasters, and ProMaster City, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, Seadoos, GoKarts, Trailers, etc.

Looking for Team Members with:

+ High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work

+ Minimum 2 years of mechanic technical training

+ Minimum 4 years of maintenance and mechanic working on gasoline, diesel and electric vehicles and equipment

+ Ability to dismantle repair, construct and maintain machinery and equipment with a high degree of skill

+ Working knowledge of gas and diesel engines, electrical systems, and use of tire machine

+ Excellent customer relations, communication skills, and organizational skills

+ Valid State Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
