Role: School Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $24-26/hr

Hours: Mon- Fri (7am-3pm)

In this role, you will perform general maintenance and repairs to ensure that school buildings and facilities remain in excellent condition. Responsibilities

+ Repair and maintain school buildings and facilities.

+ Perform general maintenance using basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, appliance repair, and electrical wiring.

+ Complete set-ups and tear-downs for scheduled campus events.

+ Operate and maintain tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.

+ Perform on-call duties as needed/assigned.

+ Remove snow with shovels, blowers, and plows when necessary.

+ Provide logistical support for campus activities, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

+ Assist with fire drills, lockdowns, and other safety exercises.

+ Help manage traffic flow and parking on campus.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ 3+ years of experience in general maintenance or building trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing).

+ Valid driver’s license.

+ Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently or as part of a team.

+ Flexible, friendly, with good communication and time management skills.

+ Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, work from ladders, and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and crawling.

+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk long distances across campus.

+ Experience in CMMS software program(s)

+ Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching

+ Requires climbing and balancing

+ Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.

+ Must provide a criminal background check.
