The Shipper/Receiver will perform tasks associated with domestic and international shipments of all products. A thorough understanding of domestic and international shipping and DOT regulations will be essential in performing these tasks. This position requires use of customer portals and shipping software. A lift truck certification will be necessary as well as the ability to be HAZMAT certified.

1st Shift Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Essential Functions:

• Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required

• Conduct safety observations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as required by our plant EHS

• Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment

• Follow Saint-Gobain principles of conduct and action, and exemplify the 5 Saint-Gobain attitudes • Complete all paperwork correctly and legibly

• Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery

• Work in conjunction with customer service, maintenance, production, scheduling, quality control, shipping, and materials management

• Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor

• Load and unload trucks of various sizes.

• Prepare daily outgoing products for domestic and international shipments.

• Arrange for delivery of product using shipping software and customer portals.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all outgoing shipments

• Order and maintain shipping supplies inventory

• Ensure all shipments receive the proper labeling and postal charges and are packaged to arrive safely

• Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges

• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments.

• Provides additional backup support for packaging and receiving departments

-High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.

-Have a thorough understanding of shipping regulations.

-1 year + experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.

-2+ years of working in shipping with domestic and international shipments

-Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis

- Basic computer and math skills.

-Currently hold or ability to be certified with a HAZMAT certification

-Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred

-Ability to stand for long periods of time.

-Maintain high attendance standards.
