Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
''Meet the Press with Kristen Welker” is looking for a Researcher/Production Associate with exceptional editorial skills, strong news judgment, a demonstrated expertise in covering politics and policy, as well as strong tape, digital and social skills.
Responsibilities:
+ Work with graphic artists and graphics coordinator to conceive, develop and execute graphics
+ Translate political polling to television, with attention to detail
+ Generate and pitch show ideas, program guests and franchise segments
+ Produce political panel
+ Gather sound and assist with ''Meet the Press'' interview elements and spots
+ Produce guest research and write questions for ''Meet the Press'' moderator
+ Shoot and edit stories for digital and social platforms, and elements for broadcast
+ Edit show promos, early release clips and other show franchises
+ Identify top news-making moments for NBC News affiliates
+ Assist with show archiving
+ Edit and socialize breakout clips for social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and meetthepress.com
+ Contribute to “Meet the Press” blog
+ Assist with podcast production for ''The Chuck ToddCast'' and other audio projects
+ At least 2 years of experience in news production
+ At least 2 years of tape, field and editing experience
+ Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
+ Must be willing to work in Washington, DC
+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
+ Must be available to work Saturdays & Sundays as part of the regular weekly schedule and evenings and holidays as required

Additional Requirements:
+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
