    The Opportunity

     

    This position works out of our Plymouth, MN (or CA) location in the Structural Heart Division.

     

    Structural Heart Business Mission: Why We Exist

     

    Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.

     

    As the Project Manager, you’ll have the chance to influence and lead our product lifecycle process. In this role you will manage end to end product portfolio projects and standardize lead product lifecycle activities including product worldwide launches and retirements. Additionally, you’ll facilitate key portfolio meetings as part of the IBP process.

    What** **You’ll** **Work On

    + Develops and manages detailed worldwide launch plans for next generation products, working closely with global marketing, supply chain, commercial, and regulatory functions.

    + Facilitates portfolio management reviews as part of the IBP process, summarizing key metrics, product/clinical program roadmaps, product launches, opportunities and risks to the franchise leaders.

    + Provides updates, escalations, and needed decisions to senior leadership.

    + Facilitates franchise configuration management meetings, driving key decisions around ZFIN creation, submission bundling, and ZFIN retirement.

    + Consult with R&D and on-market PMO teams on configuration strategy, language selections, and worldwide launch detailed plan

    + Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.

    + Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.

    + Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.

    + Consults with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and assisting or mentoring more junior project leaders in project management processes and techniques.

    + Understands business environment and relates extensive knowledge of internal and external technological activities to trends.

    + Interfaces with senior management on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units.

    + Participates in the development of other technical contributors by facilitating training and providing feedback and guidance.

    + May have direct reports. Acts as a mentor to less-experienced staff and may provide work direction or supervise other technical employees.

    + Exercises judgment independently.

    + Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity.

    + Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.

    Required Qualifications

    + B.S. in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

    + Minimum 6 years' experience in the medical device industry or project management

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or equivalent)

    + Experience with leading projects

    + Experience with product launches

    + Experience with ZFINs and/or configuration management

    The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
