    HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

    A Production Technician works as part of the Assembly Department. An individual filling this job performs repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks of precision mechanical or electromechanical components. Strong emphasis is put on product quality, cosmetic handling damage, and the ability to build a functional product with little to no rework required.

     

    As an Entry-Level Electromechanical Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining electromechanical components and systems. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to develop technical skills and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for maintaining company-owned toolboxes and for keeping a neat and orderly work cell and common work areas.

     

    This position requires safety shoes and shielded safety glasses.

    WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

    + · Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components to build complete systems.

    • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on electromechanical equipment.

    • Install, modify, and upgrade machinery, automation systems, and electrical components.

    • Maintain and calibrate motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, oscilloscopes, and electrical/electronic hardware.

    • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure proper system functionality.

    • Assist in developing maintenance procedures and process improvements.

    • Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance team performance.

    • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, assembly, and repair activities.

    • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

    + · Associate degree or technical certification in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

    + · 2-5 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical systems, manufacturing, or industrial automation.

    + · Strong troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical components.

    + · Experience with PLC programming, motor controls, sensors, and automation systems.

    + · Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

    Physical & Environmental requirements:

    + · Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.

    + · Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.

    + · Occasionally remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

    + · Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from worksite to another.

    + · Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

    + · Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.

    + · Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

    + · Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.

    + · Occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

    + · Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

    + · Occasional sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

    + · Constant light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

    + · Occasional medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.

    + · Occasional heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds.

    + Prolonged use of computer monitors.

    + May be exposed to chemicals (gasses, liquid, solvents, etc.), personal protective equipment will be required
