Research Associate/Clinical Coordinator –Cancer Care – Albany, NY - FT
We are currently seeking to fill the Research Associate position with a highly qualified candidate who possesses robust experience as a clinical trial study coordinator. Experience in oncology is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of clinical trial processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. We value candidates who are detail-oriented and have a passion for advancing research in the clinical setting. This position is with the Cancer Care Team at St. Peter's Hospital, 317 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY.

**What you will do** :
The Clinical Research Associate under the direction of the Practice Manager and in conjunction with the Physicians serves as the communication link between study sponsors, investigators and institutional officials; serves as a resource for federal and local regulations regarding the conduct of research; coordinates contractual issues related to projects.

Study/Design Implementation
Study Facilitation
Maintain Patient Rights
Safe and Effective Use of Equipment
Communicate as appropriate regarding study-related issues.
Coordinate initiation meetings.
Participate in investigator meetings.
Facilitate sponsor and/or agency visits.
Resolve issues from sponsor and/or agency visits.
Prepare study documentation in the event of sponsor or FDA audit.
Support auditor(s) for the duration of the audit.
Review audit findings as appropriate with manager and principal investigator
**What you will need** :
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma/Equivalent Required
Possession of or eligibility for national research certification
Minimum five (5) years administrative experience with at least 3 years in a clinical research setting desirable.
Knowledge of GCP- Good Clinical Practice
Knowledge of scientific principles and research methodology
Excellent attention to detail and organization, written and oral communication skills
Commitment to confidentiality and respect
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment and ability to adapt efficiently to changing priorities
Understand and embrace a customer service focus
Ability to work independently, yet function collaboratively within a team
Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Pay Range: $23.40 - $31.23
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
