Job Summary and Qualifications

•​The Emergency Services (ES) Transport EMT will operate on the HCA Florida West Hospital EMS Transport Services’ Team. The primary duty of the Transport EMT will be to assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of HCA Florida West Hospital patients on the HCA Florida West Hospital EMS Transport Services’ ambulance. The Transport EMT will respond to EMS Call-Center requests, coordinate with other healthcare providers, and facilitate transport appropriately. ​

What qualifications you will need:

+ Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Services or Completion of an accredited EMT Program

+ Current Florida EMT License

+ 1+ year of acute care experience

+ Drivers License, with no indication of unsafe driving habits. The candidate must provide a seven-year driving history from the FL Dept of Motor Vehicles and have no more than six (6) points on their record

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

+ FEMA - 100, 200, 700, 800 - preferred
