    Job Summary and Qualifications

    What you will do in this role: 

    + **You will verify the medical order and procedure.**

    + **You will gather data through PSG studies.**

    + **You will complete and verify documentation.**

    + **You will perform a variety of Sleep Studies, as well as assist in the scoring of those Sleep Studies after a specified period of time.**

    + **You will promote a supportive environment that encourages collegiality.**

    + **You will explain the procedure and orient the patient to the sleep center.**

    + **Sleep Study procedures require rational judgment, as well as associated clerical duties. He/she works to fulfill the hospital and departmental mission, vision, and values.**

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Completion of an approved Sleep Disorders program

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    + Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), or State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, or State Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Registered Nurse, or Polysomnographer, or Registered Sleep Technician, or (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant

    + Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
