Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.​​​ ​

What You Will Do In Your Role:

+ The Nurse Manager on the unit provides criteria for evaluating the Registered Nurse working in the unit.

+ The Nurse Manager oversees the care of women service patients.

+ Oversees the care of women services and provides for the development and evaluation of nursing staff.

+ Serves as a patient advocate with the health care system.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.

+ Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) in Nursing required.

+ Three years of experience as a staff registered nurse is required; Women services experience is highly preferred.

+ One-year management or Charge Nurse experience preferred.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) or (BCLS) required.

+ ACLS certification within six months of hire.
