    Responsibilities

    Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the beahvioral Health unit, ensuring the best possible outcomes and maintaining the hospital’s standards of excellence.Key Responsibilities:• Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians in the behavioral health unit.• Administer medications, perform wound care, monitor vital signs, and carry out physician orders accurately.• Assist with patient assessments, document patient conditions, and update care plans accordingly.• Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

    1. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. IV certification within 90 days of hire
