Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Guardianship Attorney to assist a Long Island-based Elder and Family Law firm with rising workload demands. Ideal candidates will have recent experience in Family Law, particularly Guardianship matters, and possess strong organizational skills with a proven ability to draft various legal forms and petitions. This is a REMOTE position but candidates must have an active license to practice law in the state of New York.

Work Schedule:

• Start Date: May 2025

• Location: Garden City, NY

• Duration: 3+ months (potential for long-term)

• Pay: $65+/hour (negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft Orders to Show Cause, Guardianship Petitions, and other required legal forms.

• Collaborate with attorneys/staff to support comprehensive Guardianship matters.

• Review and organize client documentation for case preparation.

• Ensure compliance with New York state Guardianship regulations and court requirements.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree.

• Active license to practice law in the state of New York

• Experience in Family Law or Guardianship law desired.

• Proficient in legal drafting and document review.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Attorney, preferably in elder law, family law, or guardianship cases.

• Strong knowledge of legal documentation, procedures, and terminology.

• Proficiency in using case management software and other legal tools.

• Familiarity with claim administration processes and guardianship-related legal forms.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple cases effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and attorney interactions.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.

• High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
