Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Secaucus, New Jersey. This role requires expertise in managing financial operations, particularly within the real estate and retail sectors. As a key contributor to our accounting team, you will play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Manage lease accounting activities, including property management and percentage rent calculations.

• Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Perform bank reconciliations and review general ledger entries to maintain financial integrity.

• Handle prepaid expenses and assist with real estate tax accounting tasks as needed.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.

• Utilize ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to streamline accounting workflows.

• Support financial audits by providing required documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in real estate accounting, including lease and property management.

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes independently.

• Familiarity with real estate tax accounting is a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
