    Description

    One of our clients in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Senior Billing/Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic and perform a variety of critical tasks within the finance and accounting department. This position will be responsible for the Company’s billing processes, project setup, and revenue recognition policies and practices. Additionally, the role involves maintaining finance records and preparing financial reports in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal government regulations, including FAR and CAS. The position also supports the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure the organization’s financial health. The ideal candidate will be articulate, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key attributes include a positive attitude, energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to act as a hands-on self-starter.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee the Company’s billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution.

    + Manage project setup and adhere to revenue recognition policies and practices.

    + Utilize Costpoint software for efficient billing and reporting purposes.

    + Prepare and maintain financial records and reports in compliance with GAAP, FAR, and CAS regulations.

    + Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable insights and support.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial workflows.

    + Monitor compliance with government guidelines and internal policies for accurate reporting.

    Requirements

    + GovCon Experience: Prior experience in government contracting (GovCon) is required.

    + Software Proficiency: Hands-on, practical experience with Costpoint software is mandatory.

    + Knowledge: Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, and CAS regulations.

    + Attributes: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must exhibit professionalism, dependability, and self-motivation.

    + Work Requirement: This role is 100% in-office at our Falls Church, VA location and requires daily on-site attendance.
