    The dental assistant is an integral member of the dental team providing quality dental care to patients. The dental assistant demonstrates strong clinical skills by practicing four handed dentistry, preparing operatories for the required procedures, organizing and coordinating patient charts and paperwork, and providing good customer service through strong interpersonal skills. Provide clinical support by assisting the dentist in various dental procedures, exposing radiographs, taking impressions, fabricating and cementing temporary crowns, ensuring optimal patient comfort, sterilizing instruments, practicing infection control and OHSA standards in the operatory prior, during and after said procedures. This includes ensuring assigned operatories are cleaned and disinfected between each patient being seen by the dentist.

    Required Skills

    Voc/Tech training required and 1-3 years of experience.
