IAHD is looking for a dedicatedMaintenance Workerto join our team and help maintain our day habilitation facilities and group homes.

As a Maintenance Worker, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our facilities remain in top condition, providing a comfortable and functional space for both staff and residents.

     

    What You’ll Do:• 🛠️ Maintenance & Repairs:Perform basic maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry repairs, painting, and mandatory snow removal.• 🚗 Vehicle Operation:Drive work vans and snow plowing vehicles as required for facility maintenance and snow removal duties.• 🛠️ Tools & Equipment:Use hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance work.• ⏰ Flexible Work Hours:Be adaptable to changing work hours as we operate 24/7, including the possibility of occasional overtime.• 🌟 Team Player:Work collaboratively with the rest of the maintenance team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

     

    What We’re Looking For:• ✅ Education:High school diploma or equivalent.• ✅ Driver’s License:Clean NYS Driver’s License, with the ability to drive a work van and snow plowing vehicles.• ✅ Skills:Experience with basic maintenance repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry) and housekeeping tasks.• ✅ Communication:Strong communication skills to interact with team members and other staff.• ✅ Flexibility:Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible with work hours.• ✅ Vaccination:Must be fully vaccinated (COVID-19).

     

    Job Details: 📍 Primary Locations:Bronx, NY & Westchester County 🕒 Schedule:Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with occasional overtime.
