Safety Manager

Job Description

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of construction site personnel? We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs and policies. If you have a strong background in commercial projects, and are proficient in OSHA safety standards, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

+ Safety Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies for the construction site.

+ Proactive Audits: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

+ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.

+ Training & Education: Provide safety training and education to all site personnel, including subcontractors and the labor force.

+ Incident Management: Investigate and report on any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, and implement corrective actions.

+ Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation and records.

+ Collaborative Integration: Work with the Project Manager and Superintendent to integrate safety measures into project plans and schedules.

+ Safety Culture: Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement on the construction site.

Essential Skills:

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management with experience on commercial projects, preferably government work

+ Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices

+ Certification in OSHA safety standards

+ Proficiency in safety management software and tools

+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field

+ OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 certifications

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
