We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. This role involves investigating and solving problems related to tooling, equipment, and processes, as well as analyzing and planning workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow. The Manufacturing Engineer will design layouts for equipment and workspace to maximize efficiency and will develop, recommend, and implement changes to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
Responsibilities
+ Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.
+ Investigate and solve problems related to tooling, equipment, and processes.
+ Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
+ Design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
+ Develop, recommend, and implement changes to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
+ Assist the Process Line Manager in developing capital and expense budgets.
+ Evaluate new products and make recommendations relative to manufacturing feasibility.
+ Train department personnel in safety, setup, operations, and troubleshooting of existing and new equipment.
+ Estimate production rates, setup, and tooling costs for inquiries and new part setups.
+ Specialize in skill sets such as PLC programming, welding, automation, vision systems, etc.
+ Initiate action to prevent violations of the Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.
+ Abide by the plant’s safety policy and comply with legal and other requirements.
+ Work towards achieving established objectives and targets and conform to ISO standard procedures.
+ Report and, if necessary, stop any activity that does not conform to the policy or may cause injury.
+ Provide support as requested by the supervisor.
+ Demonstrate problem-solving skills on the shop floor.
+ Maintain a sense of urgency and results orientation.
+ Exhibit leadership characteristics.
+ Apply extensive knowledge and practical applications of Lean techniques.

+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a related engineering field
+ Minimum of 5 years of related experience
+ CQI12 Coating
+ CQI30 Rubber Molding
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the CQI area or a combination of relevant formal education and experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Specialization in PLC programming, welding, automation, vision systems, etc.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
