Job Title: Production Engineer
Job Description
The Production Engineer will perform all aspects of engineering duties in support of material and end-item production. This includes conducting engineering calculations for process design, equipment configuration, and process condition establishment decisions. The role involves analyzing existing or planned equipment and processes for optimization, changes, and maintenance, along with conducting market research and working with procurement processes to obtain necessary equipment. The engineer will prepare, review, and edit technical documentation such as standard operating procedures, equipment and facility drawings, and piping and instrumentation diagrams. Additionally, the engineer will conduct engineering, safety, and quality control analyses, and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
+ Perform engineering calculations for mass and energy balances, heat transfer calculations, and pump sizing.
+ Analyze existing or planned equipment and processes for optimization and maintenance.
+ Conduct market research and work with procurement processes to obtain necessary equipment.
+ Prepare, review, and edit technical documentation such as SOPs and P&IDs.
+ Perform engineering, safety, and quality control analyses.
+ Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills
+ Manufacturing engineering
+ CAD
+ Cartridge Actuated Device Manufacturing (CAD)
+ Propellant Actuated Device Manufacturing (PAD)
+ BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering or related field

+ Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation
+ Strong organizational and planning skills
+ Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
+ Meticulous attention to detail
+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with limited oversight
+ Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and quickly adapt to changing priorities
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
+ Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
+ Must be a U.S. citizen
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite five days a week at Indian Head. The environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability and collaboration with various departments to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
