Job Title: Hospital Housekeeper
Job Description
The janitorial worker will be responsible for cleaning hospital rooms, primarily focusing on sanitizing rooms between patient discharges. This role involves extensive walking, so candidates must be comfortable being on their feet all day. Duties include wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, mopping, cleaning spills, and sanitizing surfaces. Attention to detail is crucial due to the multiple floors within the hospital.
Responsibilities
+ Clean and sanitize hospital rooms between patient discharges.
+ Wipe down equipment, empty trash, and sweep floors.
+ Dust surfaces, clean spills, and mop floors as needed.
+ Use hospital-issued iPhones to receive assignments and access cleaning tutorials.
+ Learn and navigate the hospital floor plan efficiently.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with smartphone technology.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
+ Comfortable with extensive walking and standing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in janitorial work for healthcare is preferred.
+ Experience in general janitorial work or manufacturing/distribution is considered.
+ GED or high school diploma preferred.
+ Willingness to work every other weekend and major holidays.

Work Environment
This position is within a very fast-paced hospital setting. Employees must be patient as the onboarding process may take a few weeks before receiving a badge. The role requires adherence to a three-strike attendance policy and involves working a rotating schedule. The hospital environment demands resilience and adaptability.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
