Job Title: TIG Welder

1st shift : 7am-3:30pm M-F

Pay : $28/hr+ based on weld test

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The role involves setting up and maintaining welding equipment, performing TIG welding on aluminum and some stainless steel parts according to instructions, and using fixtures or table setups to produce precise shapes and dimensions. You will work to tight tolerances and perform welding in a manner that minimizes warpage and distortion. You may also repair or rework parts to meet required tolerances. You will use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools to check parts' dimensions and conditions for acceptance or rejection. Blueprint reading for precision sheet metal drawings is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and maintain welding equipment.

+ Perform TIG and/or MIG welding following supplied instructions.

+ Use fixtures or table setups with clamps or angle plates for correct shapes and dimensions.

+ Work to tight tolerances and perform welding to minimize warpage and distortion.

+ Repair or rework parts to meet required tolerances after manufacturing processes.

+ Assist in other areas such as grinding, straightening, and metal finishing.

+ Use measuring equipment to check parts' dimensions and conditions.

+ Read and interpret blueprint designs for precision sheet metal drawings.

Essential Skills

+ 4-5 years of experience in TIG welding.

+ Proficiency in TIG welding with a focus on aesthetics and clean welds.

+ Experience welding sheet metal or thin gauge metals.

+ Experience welding aluminum is essential.

+ Ability to use tape measures and precision measuring tools to tight tolerances.

+ Blueprint reading skills.

Work Environment

Our established facility is a 32,000-foot climate-controlled space equipped with state-of-the-art technology like laser cutting, a graphics department, and a powder-coating system. The shop is clean and equipped with CNC Press Brakes and other sheet metal fabrication tools, specifically Amada brand CNC Press Brake Equipment. Safety gear including steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection is provided by the company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Freedom, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
