Quality Monitoring & Remediation- IT Audit Manager

The Manager - IT Audit will work within the Quality Monitoring and Remediation (QMR) team as part of the firm’s national office, reporting to Audit Quality and Risk Leadership. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders across the firm to develop an understanding of IT General Controls and Information Security controls that feed into the firm’s Audit & Assurance System of Quality Management (SoQM). The Manager will provide independent perspectives on technology risks to our SoQM, support the annual assessment process, including root cause analysis, and track SoQM IT audit findings to closure. Additionally, the Manager will assist with various internal projects impacting technology risks, including system implementations, SOC/HITRUST assessments, and other ad hoc projects. As future standards are released from PCAOB and AICPA, the Manager will assist the QMR team and GT management in implementing and testing these standards.
Your day to day will include:
+ Collaborate with key stakeholders across the firm to understand quality risks, processes, and responses (firm policies and procedures) to ensure these are appropriately documented and tested
+ Apply your knowledge of firm operations, processes and risks to support the overall evaluation of the SoQM through development of the IT testing program to include scoping and risk management.
+ Develop evidence request list for key in-scope IT systems and business processes
+ Lead the execution of IT SoQM testing plans, while supervising less experienced colleagues
+ Manage global resources performing IT audit testing
+ Develop and present reports to various stakeholders regarding results and suggested improvements
+ Assist the leadership of the QMR team in IT scoping exercises
+ Liase with project managers on firm initiatives to ensure emerging technology risks are identified and the mitigation of quality risks is maintained
+ Maintain active communication with IT risk owners to manage expectations, complete testing, and monitor remediation efforts.
+ Consult and work with response/process owners to perform root cause analysis, develop recommendations on business/process improvements and serve as a risk and controls advisor
+ Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality regarding sensitive matters
+ Develop training materials and a centralized resource center of established and approved content to support the ISQM (International Standard on Quality Management) 1 Testing Program
+ Lead IT root cause analysis, develop recommendations on IT process improvements and serve as a risk and controls advisor
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
+ A minimum of 5+ years of progressive audit or advisory experience in medium to large public accounting firm or equivalent – Big 10 preferred
+ A CISA certification or other relevant certification or license is preferred.
+ Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards), ISQM 1 and PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) rules and standards.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and Productivity Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, and SharePoint)
+ Experience using other tools such as Smartsheet or Power BI, desired
