    A Brief Overview

     

    The Business Intelligence Analyst supports the Cards Business Financial Risk Manager and Unsecured Consumer Lending Business Director in designing and executing business analysis to develop and execute the Cards Business strategic and tactical plan. This includes the development, integration and preparation of Executive and Senior Management presentations and reports. The Business Intelligence Analyst proactively studies business trends (based on advanced analytical schemes) and present results, recommendations and potential action with the objective of maximizing business profitability and strong portfolio composition. Must be able to translate business problems into strong analytical framework and present results in a concise; yet simple output to guide management decision and sustainable path. This include, not only the analysis of portfolio trends to design specific initiatives; but also, developing the framework for proactive monitoring to measure payback and continuous learning and optimizing initiatives.

     

    The Business Intelligence Analyst must work with all Cards Business and other support groups and have the capability to grow within the organization as an important part of the Management Succession plan of the organization. The SBA is a close collaborator to the Credit Cards Management Team and other members of the Unsecured Business Management Team and therefore be available to support the group in special assignments as requested by the Director, including analysis, insights, planning and execution for other business segments (i.e. personal loans, lines of credit and small loans).

    What you’ll do

    • Supports the Cards Business Financial Risk Manager and Unsecured Consumer Lending Business Director in designing and executing business analysis to develop and execute the Cards Business strategic and tactical plan.

    • Design multivariate statistical models and data mining modeling techniques to predict customer behavior which will provide optimal usage, activation and acquisition potential as well as avoid possible customer attrition.

    • Proactively studies business trends (based on advanced analytical schemes) and present results, recommendations and potential action with the objective of maximizing business profitability and strong portfolio composition.

    • Responsible for monitoring the various business initiatives to ensure positive payback and profitability contribution.

    • Support the Financial Risk Manager and the Management Team in the development, preparation, analysis and presentation of the Monthly statistics (Key Performance Indicators, Dashboards, Scorecards, etc) and its publication.

    • Segments and extract data for executing various business initiatives to aid in the acquisition, activation and usage targets.

    • Integrates multiple data sources to retrieve information about customer behaviors both at the account and customer level.

    • Develop Profit and Loss Analysis based on various scenarios aligned with the business’ needs.

    • Assist the Cards Business group in the Budget planning, preparation and analysis.

    • Defines needs in collaboration with management and then studies, analyses and breaks into its components to gain a complete understanding.

    • Develops tests and writes moderate to complex programs or queries.

    • Develops reports accurately and within the required time line to support the management decision making process in order to achieve business goals.

    • Support in the development of Management and Executives presentation.

    • Develops and runs special projects requested by management.

    • Prepares and provides presentations to management of matters under his/her inherence.

    • Supports other Card Services units in special assignments or during licenses.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    A Bachelor’s Degree in either Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Applied Mathematic (Master Degree preferred) and a minimum of three years of Data Analysis related fields experience.

     

    Minimum of two to three (2-3) years related experience in a financial institution, preferably in the credit card/consumer business. The incumbent must have at least two to three (2-3) years of financial analysis, reporting and forecasting experience using advanced databases management. Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, SQL, SAS, Power BI, etc) knowledge and skills.
