JOB SUMMARY:

To obtain required information and facilitate the admission process of admitting residents in a timely, and efficient manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

In coordinating the admission process, will work closely and communicate with residents, family members, hospital personnel, Marwood Nursing & Rehab staff members, physicians, social services, and community organizations to ensure all aspects of the admission process including clinical and clerical aspects are completed in a mutually satisfactory manner.

This position entails typing, filing, bookkeeping, and phone skills, and providing clerical support.

This position must report directly to Administration.

Will work with Hospital staff, residents, families, and Marwood Nursing & Rehab staff to coordinate and promote resident Admissions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

+ Must be currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse and hold a valid Michigan State License.

+ Satisfactory performance in staff or charge nurse roles for a minimum of 2 years.

+ Must demonstrate competence in assessment skills and computer literacy.

+ Possess good organizational ability

+ Possess good oral and written communication skills

+ Demonstrate proficient Customer Service skills; previous experience in customer service role, marketing, and/or working with public.
