About This Role
We believe people should love what they do \- in this role, you will be responsible for:
The Structural Engineering Analyst will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design of flight vehicles in the Strategic Missiles Business Line\. The position requires expertise in the use of Computer Aided Design \(CAD\) models, Finite Element Analysis \(FEA\) tools, and other structural analysis software\. The analysis techniques used, as well as the compiled results, will be summarized in presentations and detailed design analysis reports\.
_Responsibilities_
Serve as a structural analyst performing static and dynamic structural analyses of flight vehicles in the strategic missiles and reentry vehicle area\.Utilize a combination of commercial off\-the\-shelf \(COTS\) tools \(Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB\) and Textron developed software tools to generate structural characteristics and responses\.Define recommended changes to improve the performance/efficiency of structural design features\.Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports\.Up to 5% travel may be required\.
Qualifications
_Qualifications_
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a related field\.2 years of experience in structural analysis and design\.Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of COTS structural/mechanical tools \(Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB\) and a desire to obtain a working knowledge of Textron developed software\.Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of Microsoft Office products \(Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\) to document structural analysis methodology and results\.Excellent communication skills are required, as the position requires the description/documentation of structural analysis techniques and results using a variety of tools \(PowerPoint, Word\)\.Active security clearance is preferred, eligibility for clearance is required\. **_How We Care_**
