We seek a Senior Tax Controversy Attorney to join our in-house tax controversy practice. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in tax litigation, negotiation, and strategic planning. This key role will drive resolution of complex tax disputes, ensure compliance, and provide counsel on tax matters impacting business growth.

1. Strategically manage and resolve high-stakes tax controversies, including IRS audits, appeals, and litigation.
2. Prepare and review sophisticated tax opinions, briefs, and other legal documents.
3. Develop and implement tax controversy policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
4. Collaborate with leadership, tax, finance, and accounting teams to integrate tax planning.
5. Provide authoritative guidance on complex tax matters, ensuring compliance.
6. Stay abreast of evolving tax laws, regulations, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:

7. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
8. Admitted to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
9. 10+ years of experience in tax controversy law, preferably a combination of in-house and law firm.

11. Expertise in federal tax laws, procedures, and regulations.
12. Exceptional advocacy, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
13. Analytical, problem-solving, project management, and strategic thinking skills.

Public Compensation:
$174,000/year to $249,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
