    Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

     

    Financial Analyst, FP&A

     

    NBC Universal is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies.  We develop, produce and market entertainment, news and information to a global market.  Universal Pictures International is the international film division of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, operating across 80+ territories.

     

    The UPI Finance team plays a key role in supporting the UPI Senior Management Team.  It oversees a complex, multinational network of owned operating companies, licensees and JV’s.  The team will partner closely with other HQ functions, all UPI operating companies and corporate groups based in London, Amsterdam and across the World.

     

    The finance team is committed to fostering development and engagement with all team members, and to supporting a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    + Report to UPI Finance Director on FP&A team

    + Support Universal Pictures International (UPI) FP&A team in preparation and analysis of P&L & Cash Flow updates

    + Assist monthly / quarterly close processes including system reconciliations and marketing accruals

    + Assist monthly pacing including calculating and loading of “ancillary” P&L items into internal finance system

    + Support updating of title international territory release dates into internal finance system

    + Prepare and consolidate territory cash flow pacing submissions and model updates

    + Assist in preparing management reports / dashboards to summarize financials and analysis for finance leadership

    + Update internal monthly finance calendars for monthly / quarterly closes

    + Collaborate with controllership and finance teams to ensure coordinated processes / timely reporting

    + Support title master data set-up and management in sub-systems

    + Support weekly title reporting as needed

    Basic Requirements:

    + BS/BA degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field

    + Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and advanced spreadsheets

    Desired Characteristics:

    + Proactive approach to problem solving

    + Exceptional work ethic and result driven

    + Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

    + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

    + Proficiency with SAP and BPC preferred

     

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

     

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
