Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. NBCU Local is reimagining storytelling for the next generation of local news watchers, delivering local content to English and Spanish-speaking audiences in 31 U.S. TV markets and Puerto Rico. We are comprised of NBC Owned Television Stations, NBC Sports Regional Networks and Telemundo Station Group – plus multicast networks COZI TV and TeleXitos, regional cable news network NECN, and 16 free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels – including 11 NBC local news, four Telemundo regional news channels.

The NBCU Local Technology & Operations (Tech Ops) organization provides Technology & Workflow Solutions, Support, Media Operations, Production, Studio and Facilities services that power NBCU Local content creation and distribution.

We are looking for a Manager, Media Operations to join the TechOps team supporting the NBC4 & Telemundo 52 Los Angeles Media Operations Center and Control Rooms. As the Manager, Media Operations, you will be primarily responsible for day-to-day oversight and management of the team within our Media Operations Center, supporting the NBCU Local News field, editorial and production teams. This role reports to the Director, Production Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Lead the Media Operations team responsible for delivering media support for content production

+ Provide processes, resourcing and guidance to ensure team objectives & SLAs are met.

+ Lead staffing and management of Media Operations Center Staff, including hiring, scheduling and performance management in accordance with station policies and collective bargaining agreements.

+ Hire, coach and develop team members throughout their career journey.

+ Develop & maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication.

+ Contribute to the design, development, and execution of new workflows, projects and initiatives

+ Partner with 3rd party vendors and internal service providers to best service the needs of the operation and business

+ Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cyber security policies and standards.

+ All other duties as assigned.

+ Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, including minimum 3 years of leadership experience, consisting of people management, project leadership, or indirect leadership.

+ Bachelor’s degree in radio, television & film, journalism, operations, related fields, or equivalent experience.

+ Experience leading operational functions of mid to major market news or live event production operations.

+ Experience with media asset management systems and methodologies.

+ Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

+ Salary range: $125,000 to $155,000 (Bonus eligible)
