Group's network of news sites. We are seeking a Senior Digital Content Producer to be a part of our amazing team. We’re looking for a talented and creative journalist with an ability to learn new systems and jump into a fast-paced publishing environment. Online reporting should be your passion and the ideal candidate will be a journalist able to handle tight deadlines and constantly bring new ideas to the table. You should be able to work nights and weekends when needed.

Roles:

+ Curate and monitor social listening and daily trending content reports to inform TNND’s digital coverage strategy, enhance engagement, and optimize performance.

+ Collaborate with the Executive Producer to plan, delegate, and execute all station coverage events.

+ Implement new strategies to enhance talent-led and social-led scriptwriting and editing techniques, including creative content presentation on TNND platforms.

+ Work with the Livestream Coordinator to refine angles and topic discussions for producer-created Be part of a growing online news team producing national content for Sinclair Broadcast reels on social media platforms.

+ Assist team members with troubleshooting, content inquiries, and copyediting to ensure the quality and success of content and pageviews.

+ Develop and monitor YouTube reports to inform posting strategies and enhance performance through data-driven decision-making.

+ Continuously enhance social graphics and designs to adhere to brand guidelines across platforms.

+ Ensure that TNND Digital shares content that aligns with The National News Desk’s brand identity across social platforms and meets the expectations of its core audience.

+ Identify and provide training to team members as necessary, assisting the Executive Producer in tracking core competencies.

As required, undertake additional responsibilities as needed:

+ Perform traditional functions of an Online News Producer: Breaking news coverage, syndication, writing, editing, social sharing, livestreaming, newsletter production

+ Potential to serve as a field producer to assist talent in turning timely and relevant social content in the case of major event

+ Other duties as assigned, including working nights, weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

+ BA/BS degree or equivalent (Degree in journalism or related field strongly preferred)

+ Minimum of three years of online journalism experience

+ Excellent writing skills and knowledge of AP style required

+ Must appreciate a sense of urgency when confronted with short deadlines and breaking news

+ Strong understanding of content usage rights management and restrictions

+ Strong proficiency in editing software such as Photoshop, Premiere and Avid

+ Experience with YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, Reddit and other social media platforms

+ Must be self-motivating and able to work well with a diverse group of people

+ Is a team player and is willing to put the teams needs first

+ Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills

+ Understanding of Microsoft 360 products: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Teams
