    Join BD as a Senior Manufacturing Technician in Rubber Department! You would report directly to Engineering and indirectly to the Production Supervisor. Provides technical support, primarily electrical, to production operations. Sets-up, adjusts, trouble-shoots, and repairs/maintains all departmental production equipment. Responsibilities include production, quality, downtime and waste levels of machine operation. Must project positive attitude with excellent team skills. Responsible for providing leadership and ownership of process performance issues.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Sets up, Trouble-shoots, and maintains all electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic production equipment.

    + Performs preventive maintenance on the equipment as specified in the Plant Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program or as required to ensure a smooth operation.

    + Assists in the installation, debugging and start-up of new production equipment.

    + Responsible for maintaining equipment logs for each piece of equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.

    + Uses Programmable Logic Controllers as a means to trouble-shoot, debug, and test production equipment. Makes programming changes as required and submits required documentation to reflect the change under the guidance of the Engineering Staff.

    + Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR).

    + Follows applicable specifications, plant policies, and Departmental Procedures.

    + Develops and applies trouble-shooting skills to maintain a wide variety of equipment.

    + Develops a working knowledge of Plant Maintenance Software system, SAP. Maintains PM documentation as required for assigned areas of production.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + High School Diploma or GED required

    + Associate’s degree in “Advanced Mechatronics” or similar field of study required.

    + Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Lead Technical Role, or similar role preferred.

    + Two years’ experience from an industrial manufacturing environment desired.

    + Previous leadership roles or supervisory experience preferred.

    + Must be available to work an 8pm - 8am shift on a 3-2-2-3 schedule.

    + Possess skills in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and an understanding of electricity and electronic principles.

    + Able to successfully pass a practical assessment developed to gauge technical competence.

    + Candidates shall be administered a basic electronics exam and will be interviewed by HR, Production Maintenance Superintendent and/or Production Maintenance Supervisor, and Engineering Technician.
