    Key Responsibilities

    + Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning

    + Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

    + Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students individually and in small groups

    + Lead and facilitate Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, ensuring compliance with IDEA and district protocols

    + Collaborate with staff and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans

    + Support the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and contribute to data-driven decision-making

    + Participate in crisis prevention and intervention, as needed

    + Serve as a key member of the Middle School student support team and act as a liaison between school, families, and outside agencies

    Job Qualifications

    + Master’s or Specialist-level degree (Ed.S., M.A., or Ph.D.) in School Psychology

    + Valid NYS certification as a School Psychologist

    + Strong understanding of special education law, assessment practices, and behavioral frameworks

    + Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
