    Job Description

    The salary range for this position is $22.57-$31.89/hourly.

     

    This position directs the accounting and purchasing services and assists with the budget process of the St. Cloud State University Memorial Center. The position provides fiscal advice and budget monitoring services required to operate a $4.3 million in revenue/expense accounts for Atwood Memorial Center and Campus Involvement. This position develops internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial operations of Atwood, including the areas of the Underground, Conferences and Event Services, Information Desk/Copies Plus, Marketing, Maintenance and Campus Involvement.

    Responsibilities Include:

    + Control cash flow and cash receipts of the Atwood Memorial Center and Campus Involvement

    + Prepare budget and fiscal documents for all cost centers in Atwood Memorial Center and Campus Involvement

    + Direct purchasing activities of Atwood Memorial Center and Campus Involvement

    + Direct invoicing and accounts receivable

    + Other accounting related tasks that include monitoring lease agreements, aging reports, and other budgeting reporting responsibilities

    + Participate in training and payroll processing of student employees

    + Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner

    Salary Range:

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) sufficient to analyze, interpret, and prepare financial information, records, and reports; locate errors and recommend solutions to procedural or other fiscal problems.

    + Knowledge of the Minnesota Accounting and Procurement Systems (MAPS), or other private or governmental accounting system, sufficient to query and compile records and reports, and assist with preparation and maintenance of spending plans, financial status reports and budget requests.

    + Working knowledge of electronic spreadsheets, word processing software, computers and other office equipment such as calculators.

    + Mathematics skills sufficient to calculate, review, and reconcile data and balance accounts.

    + Ability to design, interpret, and explain work procedures and operations and provide advice on fiscal policies and procedures.

    + Ability to read and write a variety of materials in English

    Preferred Qualification

    + Experience using Minnesota State Accounting Systems including ISRS and Marketplace

     

    Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)

     

    8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
