    Our client, a leading player in the insurance industry, is seeking a Vice President, Compliance Counsel to join their team. As a Vice President, Compliance Counsel, you will be part of the compliance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership through influence, the ability to prioritize effectively, and a pragmatic approach to team culture, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Vice President, Compliance Counsel

    **Location:** Jersey City (preferred); Garden City; Midtown, Hartford

    **Environment** : Hybrid - 2 days onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays (with some flexibility)

    **Pay Range:** $200,000 - $270,000/yr

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Centralization of compliance efforts, ensuring no compliance gaps or dropped responsibilities.

    + Overseeing reporting, statutory filing, and operational oversight.

    + Conducting current state audits to assess what's working versus what's not.

    + Providing leadership and guidance to the compliance team.

    + Collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment and efficiency in compliance efforts.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + 10+ years of experience in relevant roles within the insurance industry.

    + Background in commercial or personal lines Property & Casualty insurance.

    + Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.

    + Proven ability to prioritize tasks and become self-sufficient over time.

    + Experience in Property/Casualty/Life insurance preferred; healthcare experience is not applicable.
