Responsibilities

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology team in Wichita, Kansas.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Via Christi to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

+ Great opportunity to work with an exceptional Interventional Cardiology Physician team!

+ Nocturnal APP coverage, so no call required.

+ Weekend daytime rotation, 1:5.

+ Cardiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

+ Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.

+ Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.

+ Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.

+ Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

+ Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.

+ Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

+ 1 year of experience preferred.
